Hi, I’m Sarah and I am so excited to work with you!
I have been a fitness enthusiast for as long as I can remember, starting with being dropped off at the YMCA to use the gym when I was 14. Unfortunately, my passion for fitness was rooted in all the wrong reasons, including a need to be thinner to definemy self-worth. To make matters even worse, I actually hated exercising and found it incredibly challenging to keep up with any specific routine. On the plus side, this kept me seeking different opportunities for movement constantly. Weightlifting, Pilates, 5K fun runs, rock climbing – you name it! I even tried yoga and wow… not for me. This process continued for a decade and I had mostly just accepted that this was going to be my relationship with exercise forever.
In August of 2018 I moved to the PNW solo. I was pursuing my Master’s degree in Social Work, started a new job, and it just so happened that a new friend suggested we try an aerial yoga class. Yoga again? Ugh…but I never say ‘no’ to trying something new.
For some reason, in December of 2018, the stars aligned: a new chapter for me and my relationship to exercise was initiated by aerial yoga. I have since fallen in love with yoga in all of its forms; it’s impact to my physical, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing continuing to grow each year. My personal transformations inspired me to complete the 90-hour Aerial Yoga Teacher Training at Simply Yoga in Spring of 2022 and have since inspired me to put more energy into sharing the gift of movement with others.
When I am not teaching aerial yoga, I’m a full-time Program Manager for a volunteer crisis line service at a non-profit in Portland. I also teach FabPole (the combination of aerial silks & vertical pole as one apparatus) here in Vancouver, at Studio 4 Pole 4 Fun.

Looking to try something new? FabPole is the combination of Aerial Silks & Vertical Pole as one apparatus. No experience is required to join my Intro to FabPole class! I highly recommend wearing layers to be able to maximize pole contact and minimize silk friction depending on the moves taught in class.
